MOSCOW Andre Gomes Jersey , April 7 (Xinhua) -- Russia's budget for the 2018 World Cup is being cut by 4 percent by scrapping 25 luxury hotels.
The move would help to reduce the total cost from 664 billion rubles (12 billion dolars) to 637.6 billion, Sports Minister Vitaly Mutko told Russian news agency Tass on Tuesday.
"We don't want elite hotels built to FIFA's highest requirements to end up out of demand after the World Cup," he said.
As these hotels were to have been funded by regional government or by companies, Mutko said the savings will not reduce spending by the federal government on the tournament.
While the World Cup budget is almost entirely immune from 10 percent across-the-board cuts to federal spending this year, Mutko has previously said there will be a reduction in expenditure on staging costs and ceremonies.

At more than 900 feet long, Barton Springs Pool has a natural gravel bottom and is full of fresh, naturally warmed spring water. With diving boards, stairs and ladders, swimmers can easily enter and exit at several different points around the pool. Summer weekends might find the pool quite crowded, but the spaciousness of the place allows everyone a good refreshing swim no matter what.
Occasionally the pool is closed for safety concerns, such as when there have been heavy rains or the creek that feeds the pool is running high. In these instances, swimmers can call ahead to the Barton Springs Pool to determine if the pool will be opening. The hotline is operating 24 hours per day for the convenience of its guests.
The cost to get into the pool is minimal - just $3 for adults and $2 for young adults 12 to 17 and $1 for children under 12 and senior citizens. The doors open at 5 a.m. and usually close at around 10 p.m. Although the pool is billed as a family-friendly area, topless sunbathing is allowed at the pool and many patrons take advantage of that.
Barton Springs Pool is a wonderful way to combine history and recreation when checking out all the things to see and do in the Austin area. It's especially easy to see this Austin landmark when it's a hot Texas afternoon.

You know what they say, “You are not truly famous till you have immortalized yourself through a biography.” While most of these biographies are released as a desperate measure or a last ditch effort to garner publicity for the celebrity’s dying fame, some are penned down at the peak of their stardom in an endeavor to make more pies while the pan is still hot. I am not sure as to what was Sergio Ramos motive when he had journalist Enrique Ortego pen down his biography as a book titled ‘Corazón, Carácter y Pasión’, but it has further improved Ramos’s celebrity status.
The Real Madrid defender has apparently pored his heart and soul into this book that describes in detail his life as a football player. The book’s title when translated into the English language means “Heart, Character and Passion”; and it holds true for Ramos who has brought in his Spanish passion and put his heart in to his footballing skills. The book consists of a historical relapse into the Spanish footballer’s eight year reign in the field. The book goes into lengths to describe the natural talent and the skillful tactics of this central defender. The tome is a laudatory reflection on player’s sports highlights; it showcases his achievements and makes a subtle note of all the sacrifices he had to make over the years to don the responsibility of a true Real Madrid player.
A quick look into Sergio Ramos profile will highlight the following events. Before he started for Real Madrid, he used to play for Sevilla FC. He was bought by Real Madrid for a record €27 million in 2005 and he has been their defensive mainstay since. He netted his very first goal in a UEFA Championship game on 6th December 2005. He was named in 2008’s FIFA team of the year and UEFA’s team of the year. He was adjudged as La Liga’s Best Defender in 2012. Sergio Ramos statistics and impressive scoring have earned him many other prestigious title-nominations as well.
